The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt left a lasting impression on me. In many ways it was everything I hoped it would be and even more. It’s a role playing game at its core. The story is gripping, the characters are memorable, and the voice acting is top notch. The world is visceral, colorful, and full of interesting characters. It’s an RPG, but it also is a fantastic story with an underlying narrative that’s quite easy to follow.
The World of Witcher is a great fit for a comic book convention, especially one with the adventure game genre as its main focus. It’s an immersive setting filled with monsters and magic, with a rich world of lore and characters to enjoy. With the recent release of the second part of the Witcher 3, it seems fitting to celebrate this new installment of the series by hosting a convention with a focus on the games.
In partnership with Netflix, CD Projekt RED has announced that a virtual fan event, WitcherCon, will take place on September 9. July 2021 is planned.
