When I was a kid, I played a lot of Street Fighter II. I thought it was the end-all, be-all of fighting games and never lost hope that a new version of the game would come out that would bring me back to that time of my life. Now, as a grown man, I’ve been given the opportunity to play Torchlight III, and it’s pretty similar to Street Fighter II, but with a few new things to spice it up.

In case you haven’t heard, Torchlight 3’s spring update is coming next week, and the patch introduces some cool new stuff. The most interesting of which is a new class: the pirates. The new class turns out to be a pretty cool one, and will probably be a fan favorite.

word-image-12136 Magic Legends and Champions Online are not the only PWE games getting attention this month: Torchlight III is also scheduled for a spring update next week. The highlight of this update, as Echtra previously reported, is the cursed captain, which is actually the game’s first full summoner class. Yes, you are literally summoning ghost crew members. Floating between life and death, the cursed captain remains true to his adventurous spirit. An experienced ship captain, this incarnate spirit can summon a ghostly crew of brave pirates and use the tools of pirate craft to fend off enemies. The cursed captain uses his own unique resource, doubloons, which are collected from monsters and treasures in the midst of battle. In addition to the Cursed Captain’s new class-specific weapon (the cannon), his outfit also includes a new type of class-specific armor, the cape. The update also includes many new pets (over 40), a custom pet interface, quality of life improvements, and instance resetting. A new video is posted below. Raise the anchor, load the guns and look to the horizon. Spring update#Torchlight3coming out next week!
