Can you believe it’s been 20 years since the birth of Wakfu and Dofus? For those who are unfamiliar with these games, they’re two massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) for the PC and Mac that have millions of players worldwide. In the games, players build their characters and then fight monsters, complete quests, and collect treasure. Players can create their own characters, or choose from a variety of designs provided by the developers.
The French studio behind Wakfu and Dofus, Ankama, is turning 20 this year. Not only is it a milestone for the studio, but it is also an opportunity for us to look back and see what the studio has accomplished.
As we approach the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Wakfu game, one of the best MMORPGs of all time, we are happy to announce today that we have gathered all the staff of the studio to celebrate the studio’s 20th birthday. Ankama, the parent studio of Wakfu and Dofus, celebrated 20 this week, marking a significant milestone for the company. Ankama celebrated by unveiling a new logo and promising more gaming goodies in the future.
“We’ll keep developing our many worlds: all the ones you know, love, and participate in, as well as a slew of new projects in various stages of development. Some are so new that you haven’t heard of them yet, while others, such as Wakfu Season 4, are still in the works. Others, such as WAVEN, are progressively revealing themselves to their fans. And others, like Princess Dragon, are trembling with eagerness to break out into the world.”
