Nightblades are the end-game potion master class of Elder Scrolls Online, but they are also one of the toughest classes to play well. In this article, we’ve outlined the best ways to play the eight most powerful builds for the Nightblade class in Elder Scrolls Online.

The Nightblade, the most versatile assassin class in the Elder Scrolls Online, brings traditional high-damage, high-dodge, high-survival gameplay to a brand new playstyle. With the new Update 20, the Nightblade is finally able to use daggers and bows, and has a new passive ability that allows the class to use any healing ability as an additional attack. This guide will help you build the best Nightblade for your class and role.

The Elder Scrolls Online just came out and we’ve been playing it for the past week and a half. I’m not going to talk about whether the game is fun or not, as that’s a pretty subjective thing. Instead, here’s some information about the most powerful Nightblade builds in ESO in terms of power, damage, and endurance.

Nightblade in Elder Scrolls Online can be played in several different ways. For the Flames of Ambition patch, we’ve compiled a list of the best Nightblade builds in ESO for each main you can play. Night Knives excel at inflicting damage on single targets, and can inflict the highest damage in the game on unsuspecting targets or targets with low health. Nightblades can be used in any role, and we’ve tested what works best for each of the main styles in which you can play with a nightblade.

We start with the four main EVP roles: Magicka DPS, Stamina DPS, Tank and Healer. Later, we’ll discuss the best single-player builds for long-term content, from global bosses to veteran arenas. Finally, we look at how to prepare Nightblade for PVP dominance in Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil, or the Imperial City.

Best Night Blade builds in ESO: Aerobatics

Let’s take a look at the best Nightblade builds in ESO, starting with a favorite Nightblade role: DSS.

PvE – Magblade DPS Build

Image: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit or Elf: Mundus: Thief (higher critical strike chance) or Shadow (higher critical strike damage) Food: Millet soup with solitary salmon or equivalent (5395 health, 4936 magicka)

Nightblades like Magicka DPS do a lot of damage and have great survivability at all game levels. Excellent for tree damage and the run phase in boss fights, they also do a lot of damage to individual targets during fights and can maintain health with excellent toolkits. We recommend using Khajit on Nightblades with magic for extra lightning damage, but other Nightblade races like Dark Elves and High Elves are not far behind in terms of DPS.

Skills

Main bar (Medusa staff) Second rung (clamp the wall bar)
Swallow your soul Wall of unstable elements
Impala Mystical atmosphere.
Unshakeable determination Transferring attacks
Inner light Dark Tint
Degeneration The winding road
Stunner (Ult) The Ties of the Soul (ult)

For the basics of the best Nightblade DPS ESO build, damage rotation is important, as is weaving in light attacks. General Rule: Buff first, then cast your long lasting AOE abilities, followed by your incendiary ability. Keep in mind that after the initial upgrade, you will need to make light attacks between each ability, which will increase your DPS significantly.

You want to attack with light and use the skill immediately afterwards, before the light attack animation ends. It may seem uncomfortable at first, but your team will thank you for it in the future. Using the (Improved) Breaker Wall (from the Maelstrom Arena) increases your light attacks by 1353 damage to all enemies within your Element Wall, making your need to weave light attacks even more important.

For our kits, we use gear that is successful anywhere you fight, not just in situations where you can stand still and not worry about surviving (I’m looking at you, Syroria). We will use Mother’s Sorrow (from Deshan) because of the high critical chance it gives us, which helps us do crit more often, and for even more Khajiit damage.

The second set we will use is Medusa (from Arx Corinium), which increases the criticality of our spells and increases our critical damage by 10% thanks to the small power buff it provides. The critical hit chance of spells with this build will be so high that you will usually get critical hits that do extreme damage, especially in the final phase when you get your run bonuses.

Finally, in the monster set we will use Zaan because of the critical spell and the high single target damage he does. With a 1 in 3 chance of taking damage from a light attack, Zaan deals 300 flame damage and increases it by 100% every second for six seconds. If you can get close enough to make this effect last the entire time, it will result in a huge amount of damage being dealt.

PvE – Stamblade DPS Build

Image: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit (or Black Elf) : Mundus : Thief (higher critical strike chance) or Shadow (higher critical strike damage) | Strength: Garlic cod with potato crust or equivalent (5395 healthy, 4936 endurance)

Next on our list of the best Nightblade builds in ESO is Stamblade DPS for PvE.

Nightblades do a great job as an endurance DPS, fit well in all groups with high burst damage and excellent overall damage. Nightblades really excel in the later stages of combat, where they quickly take out bosses in the most dangerous phase and help neutralize high health targets with heavy single target damage. We recommend using Khajit to increase critical damage, but Dark Elf also comes very close in terms of DPS.

Skills

Main bar (Burning Daggers) Secondary Staff (Thunder Bow)
Sudden start Dark Tint
The blows of the day Absorption trap
An unspeakable trick. Leeches
The Killer Blade A decisive force
A spike trap The endless hail
Stunner (Ult) The Ties of the Soul (ult)

Nightknives with stamina should get closer and closer to each other when using dual wielding, so they can be a bit more dangerous than their Magica counterparts in-game. Self-healing and Relentless Focus’s burst-healing must be used at different times in combat, so be careful how you place them and how you react to them. If you’re around, you can do significant damage to a single target. You also have a number of abilities that allow you to inflict damage over time, melting enemies faster as the fight progresses.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Hunding’s Fury (can be edited), 5 Leviathan (Crypt of Hearts), 2 Monster Set / Dexterity Set

We will be using Arms of Relequen (from Cloudrest) as our classic single target heavy hitter set. You don’t need perfect equipment to succeed, but 1000’s more endurance is definitely the icing on the cake. When Relequen’s light attacks are used, the enemy is duped, increasing the damage per stack every second to five seconds and inflicting heavy damage on one target.

Next, we use Kinra’s Wrath (from the Black Dragon Mansion), which gives you Greater Berserk after a five-light attack, increasing your damage by 10% and creating an aura that gives you and your allies Lesser Berserk for an additional 5% damage increase. This is a great set for personal and group use that will help your group fight with ease. In addition, you should position this kit so that your group can take advantage of everything it brings.

Finally, we use the two-handed Stinging Slashes (from Dragonstar Arena) instead of a monster set, because arena weapons can finally compete with them in this patch. Using Shredded Blows within ten seconds is very important to get the most out of this set, as it increases both the initial damage (for both hits) and the bleed in time, which is an excellent overall improvement for this skill.

PvE – Armor hull Build

Picture: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Northern (or Imperial): Mundus: Lord (for better health) | Diet : Bacon Pie with Melon Sauce or equivalent (4462 health, 4105 stamina/magic) and Bewitched Sugar Skulls (4620 health, 4250 magic/stamina, and 462 health regeneration).

Tanking on Nightblade can be more difficult than some other classes that are more optimized for it, but you can still have great success even in veteran dungeons and events if you use one of the best builds for Nightblade in ESO. For this Nightblade build we’re aiming for a high survivability and adjusting the class division of the Nightblade Siphon skill tree. We recommend using Nord for extra physical and spell resistance, but Imperial is also a good choice.

Skills

Basic position (one arm + shield) Second bar (staff)
Piercing armor Elementary blocking
Heroic move Dark Coat
Defensive position Leeches
An unspeakable trick. A decisive force
Power generation Silver lead
Amplification of darkness (ultra light) Aggressive war horn (ult)

To get to the basics of tanking on Nightblade, you need to focus on a few basics. Don’t hesitate to skip this step if you are a basic tanker!  First, it’s a false stop that falls after fifteen seconds. So you have to reapply it between 11 and 13 seconds to avoid getting dizzy and missing the boss’ taunt, which would cause chaos in your group. Only priority targets that do a lot of damage, such as. B. Bosses or other hard to hit enemies should be taunted. If you’ve scared the group, make sure the enemies aren’t facing your group, so they can group close and receive a light healer buff without taking damage. The following armor sets allow you to stay in areas where the damage is quite high, so you can hold off the boss while keeping an eye on the AOE skills of your DPS.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Ebony Armory (Crypt of Hearts), 5 Plague Doctor (Deshan), 2 Monster Set / Endurance Set

For our sets, we start with five pieces of Leeching Plate (from the Imperial City Prison) for the large amount of health you get back from each enemy you attack. It’s a selfish set, but it will help you not collapse when you tank for your group, meaning your healer can focus on more DPS or other buffs instead of always giving you heals.

For the second set, you can choose Crimson Dawn (from Burgdorn) for the extra life steal or use the Powerful Attack set (from Imperial City), which increases your party’s weapon and spell damage by 300 when you use the Attack skill. Honestly, Crimson is more of a PVP kit, but it’s great for increasing survivability in tough fights or if you don’t have a healer in your group. In the Powerful Attack set, your aggressive warhorn and Resolute Power healing skill will come in even more handy as your party destroys enemies and deals extra damage. Remember, giving your healer more spell damage will also increase their healing power, making you last longer! For veterans, you can replace the bloodletting with the Yolnahkriin’s claw to increase your group’s weapon and spell damage.

Finally, for monster recruitment, we choose Tremorscale for groups with mostly stamina DPS, Encratis Behemoth for groups with mostly magicka DPS, and Earthgore for groups that don’t like combat. Tremorescale adds a unique weakening to taunted enemies, reducing their physical resistance by 2400, allowing your stamina players to take many more hits. The Behemoth of Encratis deals 5% less fire damage to your group and 5% more fire damage if you deal fire damage yourself. Most magic DPS use a flame wand up front, which greatly increases the total damage. You need to enchant your main arm with a flame spell, so you can easily mine it without having to switch skills. Finally, if your group just can’t handle a difficult situation, activate Earthgore to return 30,000 health to one of the group’s members for ten seconds, allowing them to survive a large amount of damage.

When you use the Shadow skill, you gain the benefit of the master’s determination for six seconds, but this time is extended by 25% for each piece of heavy armor you equip. With seven pieces of heavy armor, this upgrade takes just over sixteen seconds, making it easy to reach 100% life. Using Siphoning gives you 2 Ultimates, and this passive can be activated every four seconds. This means you get 25 ultimatums per minute – a nice addition to the 20 extra ultimatums you get every time you drink a drink, so the ultimatums come very quickly.

PvE – Magblade Healer Build

Picture: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Breton (or High Elf) Mundus : Sorcerer (more magic = stronger / more healing) or Thief (more chance of critical strike) | Food: Millet soup with solitary salmon or equivalent (5395 health, 4936 magicka)

Next, we look at the most underrated of Nightblade’s top builds in ESO – the healer.

Nightblade healers are not common in ESO, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be just as effective as healers of other classes. Nightblade healers offer a unique playstyle that uses many classic healer skills, but uses the Nightblade skills in interesting ways.

Skills

Main bar (salvage personnel) Second bar (Hollofang thirst bar)
Funnel health Elementary blocking
Glorified healing A refreshing journey
Regeneration by radiation Transferring attacks
Battle prayer Energy sector
A healthy stock Base depletion
Amplification of darkness (ultra light) Aggressive war horn (ult)

Positioning is essential for healers, and as a Nightblade healer you need to pay even more attention to it. If you stand behind your group and stay in range of the tank to heal it with all your skills, you’ll want to heal and upgrade your group at the same time and deal damage after healing rotations. Nightblade offers a unique healing called funnel health that acts as a spamming boost. This spell inflicts damage on an enemy and heals you or two allies near 50% of the damage inflicted every two seconds for ten seconds. However, you should not wait at least two seconds for the healing to be renewed. You can reroll the spell and get the initial healing again, so you can continuously heal yourself after the initial spell.

As a healer in ESOyour main goal is of course to keep your party alive, but it’s equally important to know how to increase your party’s damage through buffs and resource management, something that many non-healers fail to consider.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Juliano’s Law (crafting), 5 Refuge (exiled cells), 2 Monster Set / Will Set

For scenery, we use the Healing Power spell (from the Tower of White Gold) because of the buff Great Courage gives when you overheat a target, increasing its weapon and spell damage by 430. This greatly increases your group’s total damage and helps you perform more powerful heals when hit.

For our second set, we chose something that fit perfectly with the theme of the Nightblade Siphon skill line: Thirst of the Hollow Fang (by Moongrave Fane). This creates an orb of blood in which you can administer critical healing or critical damage. They deal damage, restore magic to your team, and give everyone around them low vitality, increasing the healing they receive by 8%. This set offers many useful bonuses for your group, but a Magicka-centric group will benefit the most from using it because of the 1,750 Magicka units the group can recover with it.

As for the set of monsters you use, you can choose between Symphony of Blades (from Depths of Malatar) and Sentinel of Rkugamz (from Darkshade Caverns 1). The Symphony of Blades helps manage the group’s resource base, giving anyone who does not have 50% of their base reserve the ability to gain 570 magicka or stamina every second for six seconds. This simplifies resource management for the group and gives them more leeway to add as many DPS as possible without depleting their resources. Guardians of Rkugamz focuses more on healing, by summoning a Dwemer spin that restores 1000 health and 125 magic/stamina points every second for eight seconds. For some groups, this kit can be difficult to use because you have to be above the AOE to get an advantage, which is not possible in some battles where more movement is needed.

PvE – Magblade DPS Solo Build

Image: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit or Elf. Mundus: Thief (higher critical strike chance) or Shadow (higher critical strike damage) | Strength: Lone Salmon Millet Soup or equivalent (5395 health, 4936 magicka) and Spellbound Sugar Skulls (4620 health, 4250 magicka/endurance, and 462 health recovery).

The single player mode requires not only a large amount of individual damage, but also a great deal of survivability and a number of tools to reduce or heal damage. Magicka Nightblade is an ideal class for single-player content due to the self-healing that occurs when damage is taken. Sure, the Pale Order ring will always add to the survivability of a solo combo with its life thief, but foundlings have their own skills built into the best foundling skill set!

Personally, I prefer the Maelstrom veteran arena on my Magblade for this reason, and the vampire arena for the benefits it offers. The fire damage in arenas 8 and 9 is hard to overcome, but the overheat healing you get from Nightblade helps compensate for most of it. If you choose a vampire, choose a dark elf instead of a khajiit for flame resistance.

Skills

Main bar (Medusa staff) Second rung (clamp the wall bar)
Swallow your soul Wall of unstable elements
Impala Transferring attacks
Unshakeable determination Dark Tint
Mute the magic. The winding road

Stunner (Ult) The Ties of the Soul (ult)

We’ll focus on the standard Magicka Nightblade, but if you want to create a vampire character, Nightblades are a great option for that, as you get great synergy with their passives and a similar playstyle.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Law of Iulianos (Crafting), 5 Mother’s Sorrow (Deshan), 2 Monster Set / Will Set

For our build, we’ll start with a build similar to the Magicka Nightblade build above, with minor tweaks to make the single player game more viable. First off, we need Medusa (from Arx Corinium) for the extra critical damage chance on spells, but more importantly for her low power buff that increases our critical damage by 10%.

Then we need the (perfect) initiation of the false god (of Sunspire), for which you must pass the exam. It’s a shame that you have to play in a group for the best equipment for solo play, but you’ll thank yourself later, because this set reduces the cost of all your magic skills by 8%. It also restores 2454 magic and grants Great Expedition (increases your movement speed by 30%) for eight seconds each time you kill an enemy you’ve recently damaged.

This kit makes it easy to master magic without the help of a healer, and the mobility makes difficult battles even easier. The Flame Staff gives the highest DPS on one target and increases damage from skills on one target by 8%. However, if you switch to the lightning rod, you can destroy groups of enemies more effectively thanks to an additional 8% increase in AOE damage. Which one is best depends on what you do solo, but both can be useful. Ice bars should not be used, as they are more optimized for tanking and do not give damage bonuses, but rather blocking bonuses.

Your monster set is more situational, and you’ll change it depending on the content you want to do in single player. Zaan is the best choice to defeat bosses, whether in a world, dungeon or arena. The damage he does to a target is just too hard to beat. However, if there are multiple bosses in the fight, this may not work for you, especially if your health reserve has jumped. Iceheart is a great interchangeable set for when the going gets tough and you need a damage shield, but you can still do AOE damage. If you prefer to forgo a monster set altogether and use a mythic item, such as the Pale Order Ring (one of five mythic scout spikes), you should use a piece of mole, as it offers the best critical chance of all monster helmet sets. The hard-to-get Pale Order Ring restores 20% of your damage in the form of health. Don’t forget to drop it in a group though, as you can only be healed yourself and the effectiveness is reduced by 4% for each ally you are in a group with! Your backboard should always be an arena weapon in these types of builds. So be sure to use the (upgraded) partition wall (from the Maelstrom arena) to impressively increase the damage from light attacks. When you reach the crush wall in the Maaelstrom arena, your gameplay in the single player is also put to the test and you get to know the mechanics quickly – if you don’t pick up the thread perfectly in some battles, you’ll die. The veteran arenas will challenge you even more, but you should play the normal arenas first to get a feel for what to expect.

PvE – Stamblade DPS Solo Build

Image: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit, Dark Elf or Orc | Mundus : Thief (higher critical strike chance) or Shadow (higher critical strike damage) | Strength: Garlic cod with potato crust or equivalent (5395 health, 4936 stamina) and enchanted sugar skulls (4620 health, 4250 magic/stamina and 462 regeneration).

One-on-one battles with stamina characters are inherently harder than their magic counterparts, as you’re usually very close to the targets you’re fighting. Despite the added difficulties, night newbies with stamina do great and can use many skills to get out of trouble. It might be safer to use a solo bow on characters with stamina, but here we use a two-handed bow to increase the damage and shields we can get from the two-handed skill.

Skills

Head Bar (Merciless Attack Sword) Secondary Staff (Thunder Bow)
Sudden start Dark Tint
Stampede Absorption trap
An unspeakable trick. Leeches
The executioner A decisive force
Fighter The endless hail
Stunner (Ult) The Ties of the Soul (ult)

The single player mode requires a decent set of skills that deals single target damage and AOE damage. So our sets and skills will aim to compensate for the fact that night swords are primarily designed to inflict high damage on a single target.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Hunding’s Fury (can be edited), 5 Leviathan (Crypt of Hearts), 2 Monster Set / Dexterity Set

As for kits, we use Briarheart (from Wrothgar) first, as it offers an excellent combination of damage and survivability. When you take critical damage, your weapon damage increases by 450, and each critical hit you take heals you by an amount based on your maximum stamina. This effect lasts for ten seconds, but can only be applied once every fifteen seconds, so you have a break. Keep this in mind during tough fights when you need extra care.

The second set we use is Tzogvin’s Warband (from Frostvault), which is essentially Medusa’s counterpart in Endurance. After inflicting critical damage, you gain up to ten stacks that increase your weapon’s critical damage by 177 each. When you reach the maximum number of stacks, you gain Little Power, which increases your critical damage by 10%. An alternative to this set could be Dagon’s Reign (of the Cauldron) if you want to focus more on building a kill zone, but you’ll need to trade some abilities to get the full power of the set with its 492 extra weapon damage for all your AOE abilities.

Monster sets don’t work as well on heroes with stamina in this patch, but if you have a Golden Selene (from Selene’s Web), you can use that instead of Merciless Attack. In this build, we take full advantage of the (improved) relentless attack (from Maelstrom Arena). When you use Stampede on a group of enemies, Merciless Charge provides additional bleeding damage for five seconds and increases your weapon damage. What makes this spell special is that Stampede deals AOE damage first, then damage to enemies in the area every second for ten seconds, reapplying the effect of Merciless Charge to all enemies in the area! This means that Merciless Charge’s bleed can last for fifteen seconds before you need to use Stampede again, incredibly increasing the total damage of the AOE. If you throw a (Improved) Lightning Bolt (from the Maelstrom arena) at an area before jumping, your damage will increase further, as the longer enemies stay under a hail of endless arrows, the more damage it does.

PVP – Magblade DPS (Bomber Build)

Picture: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit or Elf: Mundus: Shadow (stronger critical hits) | Strength: Enchanted Sugar Skulls (4620 health, 4250 magicka/endurance, and 462 health regeneration) and Tomato Garlic Chutney for maximum damage without survivability (6048 magicka).

If PvE isn’t your thing, don’t worry. For this section, we have put together one of the best ESO Nightblade builds in PvP.

For this tutorial, we’ve chosen the PVP build Magicka Nightblade – a bomber build fully optimized to defeat everyone’s favorite PVP group: the Zerg. You won’t play well in 1v1 with him, but against groups of enemies you will be a terror. The goal is to do the initial damage and then cause a domino effect by killing members of the group that save you or cause you to get a large amount of Telvar. Most people can take a beating in a PVP game, but nothing makes people saltier than when their party falls for a well-made bomber build, which Magblade does perfectly. We apologize for the hateful whispers you’ll receive if you use this build, but it’s worth playing it.

Skills

Main bar (Vicious Death Staff) Second groin (malicious lifeboat)
The essence of juice Rapid regeneration
Hidden Weapon Battle prayer
Shadow Camouflage The shadow of an image
Inner light Channeled acceleration
Unshakeable determination Mute the magic.
The Ties of the Soul (ult) Master of the light (ult)

Your rotation will be unique from other builds, as you will have to rely on timing much more than other builds. If you can, attack a few ads with Ruthless Determination until he’s ready to deal with them, and finish them off before moving on to where you want to attack the group. Ruthless Determination passively increases your critical damage by 10% with Passivation of Blood, and when fully stacked, it increases your critical damage by another 10%. You need to prebuff somewhere no one can see you, with a channeling boost to get a big exp and a small power, and then follow with a shadow image. Make sure you can’t see your target so the shadow image doesn’t give away your location, but it will be your anchor to teleport to if the situation gets out of hand.

You should then say the battle prayers away from the group so that they do not reveal your position. This gives you Low Berserk and Low Determination, which increase your damage by 5% and your resistance by 2974 respectively. Proximity Detonation will be your next ability, and this will determine when to activate your abilities. The bomb has an eight-second timer before it explodes and deals 25% extra damage to any enemy within range of the bomb. You approach the group with Shadowy Disguise and right before Proximity Detonation goes off, you cast Soulbound Ultimates and spam Sap Essence to finish off the remaining people. The other skills in your control panel are designed to increase damage or speed in stealth mode.

If you choose Vampirism for extra spell damage, replace Magic Dampening with Frenzy to get 660 spell/weapon damage before you detonate the bomb. You must be at least level 2 to get the Shadow Blast passive, which gives you 300 points of spell/weapon damage when you come out of stealth. Vampirism at level 3 reduces damage by 30% based on low health, which can be very useful in PVP scenarios. Remember, you take a lot more damage with flames, so you have to be careful when you sneak in and do your thing. Simmering Frenzy puts you at a dangerously low health level with the benefit of increasing your damage.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Iulianos Law (can be made), 5 Mechanical Slash (can be made), 2 Monster Set / Will Set

Our kits are the most important part of this assembly. The first kit we’re going to talk about is called Vicious Death (from Cyrodiil’s equipment vendor). This set does a tremendous amount of AOE damage around the death point of the player you kill, but more importantly, it has no kuldown. Once you’ve taken down the smallest of the group, the others will fall in his wake.

The ideal set for this is Mechanical Sharpening (made), as it guarantees a 100% critical hit probability for five seconds after inflicting direct damage. This means that when you come out of your invisibility and inflict the first damage, each skill gets a critical hit for five seconds, which activates the Vicious Death proc.

One set that works well for Nightblade instead of Mechanical Acuity is War Maiden (from Vvardenfell), as it increases your magic damage capacity to 600 units. Vicious Death’s fire damage is not increased, but your other abilities mostly deal magical damage and thus hit harder. I prefer the lightning rod for 8% extra AOE damage, but many night swords with magicka go for the spell damage you can get from two-handed swords.

More importantly, the Barlorg Monster Kit (from Walk of Sacrifice) grants you spell and weapon damage equal to the sum of the ultimates you’ve done, and also increases your spell and body penetration by a factor of twenty-three for twelve seconds. Currently, the limit you can generate is 500, which means that if you cast a soulband with that amount, you’ll take 500 spell/weapon damage and 11,500 spell/piercing physical damage, which is a cruel ordeal for the receiving party.

PvP – Pedigree DPS (Assassin Build)

Picture: ZeniMax Online Studios via HGG

Race: Khajiit, Dark Elf or Orc | Mundus : Thief (higher critical strike chance) or Shadow (higher critical strike damage) | Strength: Garlic cod with potato crust or equivalent (5395 health, 4936 stamina) and enchanted sugar skulls (4620 health, 4250 magic/stamina and 462 regeneration).

Nightblade with Stamina is a great ganker and excellent in 1v1 scenarios, but disappoints when fighting multiple enemies at once. Fortunately, the best builds for Nightblade ESO have many ways to control the flow of battles and can both destroy targets and keep themselves alive, as this is one of the smoothest classes in PVP.

Skills

Main bar (Diamond Victory Hammer) Second crossbar (bow with engraved arrow)
Sudden start The poisoned arrow.
The executioner Shuffle
An unspeakable trick. Leeches
Rally A decisive force
A camouflaged fighter jet Shadow Camouflage
Stunner (Ult) Temporal Guardian (ult)

In situations where you are outnumbered, you rely on your skills to take out the targets one by one, then retreat into the shadows with the shadow disguise to prepare for another attack.

Simple alternative for starter kit: 5 Hunding’s Rage (edited), 5 Spriggan’s Thorns (Bangkorai), 2 Monster Set / Dexterity Set

For the armor sets we will be using in this build, we have focused on using medium armor on our body parts to get medium armor passives that give extra weapon crit, stamina recovery, and weapon damage for each piece you wear. We choose upgraded heavy armor to gain much more survivability through bonus resistance to physical effects and spells, as well as heavy armor passives that increase our stamina, health, and health regeneration. We will carry Stuhn’s Favor (tradable) because it gives us 5312 physical/spell penetration to unbalance opponents, which transfers our main spammyl to opponents. Penetration makes a big difference in PVP, as most players build their teams to limit damage.

The diamond win (tradeable) will be our second set and gives us a mix of weapon damage and spell bonuses that fits Nightblade’s playstyle very well. Inflicting damage on an enemy from more than seven feet away increases your melee attacks by 437 weapon or spell damage, and inflicting damage at close range also increases your distance attacks by 437 weapon or spell damage.

Our monster set will be Barlorgh due to the large amount of piercing damage and weapon damage, as the best Nightblade builds in ESO can cast their main Ultimatum Incapacitating Strike over and over again and reap the benefits. If you use the maximum number of ultimates with a power of 500, you get 500 weapon/spell damage and twenty-three times the ultimates used, or 11500 physical/spell piercing power. Calamitous Strike can be cast much cheaper, for only 70 ultimate, but you only get 70 weapon/spell damage and 1610 physical spell penetration. Finally, we come to our second weapon, the Poison Arrow (Improved) (from the Dragon Star Arena), which allows you to deal an additional 330 units of damage to enemies hit by the Poison Arrow ability. Depending on your playstyle, you can use both, but you can usually use it at the beginning of the fight to deal more damage with that weapon, and activate the diamond victory damage bonus to deal more damage when you finish the fight.

Nightblade is one of the most versatile class in ESO. It offers great single-target damage and group utility, but it has a hard time dealing with large groups of enemies. For this reason, it’s important to choose the right build for your playstyle.. Read more about eso nightblade 2h/bow build pve and let us know what you think.
