Resident Evil Village Update Adds FSR Support, Denuvo.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is a fresh new take on the classic survival horror series. The Resident Evil Village Update, which adds some new features to the Resident Evil 7 demo, has been released. Resident Evil Village Update Adds FSR Support, Denuvo Optimizations That Should Improve Performance

Capcom, the publisher and developer of Resident Evil Village, has issued a minor patch that seeks to enhance the game’s overall speed by improving how its Denuvo anti-piracy software is deployed. On top of that, it adds support for FSR.

According to recent reports, Resident Evil Village’s Denuvo implementation is far from perfect, with the game’s pirated version operating smoother and without the stutters that some players have complained about since launch.

The Resident Evil Village update’s patch notes are brief yet nice. This is how they appear:

  • AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) is now available. On PC, FSR enables faster frame rates for a better gaming experience.
  • Anti-piracy technology has been tweaked to make it more effective.

The improvements should be a double whammy for AMD card owners in terms of improved performance in RE Hamlet, but they should also mean that Ethan Winters’ wonderful trip through a creepy, nameless Romanian village will be smoother overall.

Capcom is also working on DLC for the newest chapter in the series, while Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer companion game, has been postponed until 2022.
