On March 16th Monster Hunter: World will be released. With a new Monster Hunter game comes new features and toys, and Monster Hunter: World is no exception. If you want to use your pet in Monster Hunter: World, there are a couple of restrictions you need to follow.
I hope you’re ready for the happy ending, hunter. Monster Hunter Rise3.0, which released overnight, brings a new ending to the game its predecessor alluded to. The new Zinogre apex, unlike the previous apexes added in 2.0, appears immediately in the rampage and single hunt options. We also have the Crimson Glow Valstrax, a variant of the old Monster Hunter Generations dragon that has jets instead of wings and can turn into a rocket. This of course means new weapons and armor, but also new skills. The game also has new paid DLC to expand the customization options, such as voices for the tea house girl and the pet shop boy, and layered armor so you and your pets can pretend to be each other, as partially seen in the title image. Yes, it is possible to impersonate a cat, and there are apparently variations of the tail that have been described but not shown. Your dog and cat may also claim to be of another species, but unfortunately none of them have the ability to become human. Sorry, guys. Of course, there’s more to come: more DLC, more events, and more crossovers, starting with the Monster Hunter Stories 2Co-Game. AtMHDigital’s event in May, we found out a few details aboutMHS2, mainly about the story, but also about the game’s spawning system, which allows frost hares to breathe fire and bears to become full-fledged avatars. So the monster pets seem pretty adaptable. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have any information on the multiplayer aspects of the game beyond what we saw in March, but hopefully the multiplayer won’t just consist of side missions. You can watch the entire event below.
