Local co-op support for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was confirmed as early as 2019, when the game was announced. The company confirmed at the time that two players would be able to play the game together.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, like most previous Lego video games, will not have dedicated online co-op functionality at launch.

If you truly want to play with a buddy online, you’ll have to use Steam’s Remote Play Together option, which allows you to stream the game so that another player may join in.

There’s no news on whether full internet co-op will be implemented at a later date, and based on previous Lego games, the odds are small.

Regardless matter whether you use the co-op feature or play the game alone, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga should feel familiar while yet being distinct from its predecessors.

It has brand-new levels, new fighting techniques, and three trilogies worth of characters, which should translate to a lot of skill sets to master and improve.

On April 5, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
