In case you’ve been living under a rock, Bless Unleashed is a free-to-play action-RPG game created by the team behind the console game Bless Online. It is currently in closed beta, but the game has launched on Steam today with a full open beta that starts on October 28th. The final open beta test will run from November 4th to 6th. The game is also available on mobile, with a smartphone version that launched in September. The mobile version includes the same features as the PC version, but it’s not clear if the game will eventually end up on mobile devices as well. We’re starting the week off with a bang: Bless Unleashed, the vibrant MMORPG that lets you build a powerful community and explore a beautiful world of magic and wonder, is officially launching on PC! After more than four years of development, the game is now ready for everyone to enjoy.

Bless Unleashed is a free-to-play MMORPG that’s based on the MMORPG Bless Online. There are more than 100 hours of gameplay in this game. It’s Bless Unleashed’s – the PC version’s – release day, and it’s been a long time coming. Readers may remember that Bless Online was first released on PC in the west in 2018. It didn’t go well, and Bless Online was shut down in 2019 following numerous server shutdown and a business merger. However, only a few months after the debut of Bless Online, Neowiz and Round8Studio revealed a console version of the game that shared the IP but not much else. The game was released in early 2020, and the firm spent the most of that year and this year testing and retesting a PC version of the console version that was split off from the closed PC MMO. It’s been an adventure.

Round8 informed Steam customers today that it’s working on “a variety of upcoming upgrades to keep up with [its] fans’ demands,” including “new characters, dungeons, locations, and content like Guild Vs. Guild.” The company also claims that “over 40,000 worldwide users,” including us, participated in the game’s final test. MOP’s Chris said the game was unexpectedly good and an upgrade over the original, but he didn’t think it had anything to recommend it above other games. He said, “It’s a nice and regular little themepark MMO that doesn’t really break a lot of trends, and on PC it looks fantastic while feeling a touch odd in certain areas in terms of controls.”

This weekend, we’ll be broadcasting the game on OPTV, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, preloading started yesterday night, and servers are set to be online at midday EDT.
