April Fools’ Day around the MMO world, 2022 edition. In a time before April Fool’s Day was established as an annual holiday in most countries it comes to be known that this is one day when humor and creativity are celebrated without strict adherence to any particular ideology or agenda.
April Fools’ Day is everywhere, whether you like it or not, and it’s expressly designed to frustrate copyeditors who have to correct that darn apostrophe a hundred times. And nowhere is the day more widely observed than in MMOs, where developers relish the opportunity to test your faith in their virtual worlds with pranks. Here are some of the better ones we’ve come across so far in our hunt today!
Guild Wars 2 has basically gone to the dogs. Doggos have taken over Lion’s Arch and are in desperate need of scritches. Yes, there are activities, accomplishments, and minis to do.
Everyone knows that cats are beings of enormous power and unfathomable wisdom, but where should a hero turn when might and mystery can’t soothe their weary heart? You may find the answer in Lion’s Arch…and it would appreciate a scratch behind the ears. https://t.co/xfiTDZOW0k pic.twitter.com/eyYvZIMJa3

It is up to the courageous gamers of our planet to rise up against the sentient Dreaded Mapserver, drive back its wicked and unstable henchmen, and wipe the fiend’s consciousness clean out with a hard reset!”

Yes, it is correct! MassivelyOP has rebranded as Massively Overpawered, giving you all the latest MMO news as well as funny animal videos that have nothing to do with the news! Instead of getting mired down in specifics, let’s concentrate on that.
